The CSV file import only works if you use a delimiter on all fields (e.g. " data","1","Yes").

however Microsoft and most other native exports are exporting acording to RFC4180, which means that they don't provide text delimters unless there is a character overlap (e.g if , exists in the string a delimiter is used to encapsulate the string (e.g "the dog, cat").

MS does not provide the ability to export using delimters as it formats the file to RF4180 stds.

Can you update the import function to be able to handle RFC4180 please. AS MS is the dominant s/sheet in the market, this would be a great update to the product.

You can specify a column delimiter in import parameters. The default field delimiter is ";". Please be careful.

I understand and have checked the delimiter,

however,

MS excell exprts CSV as follows;

field1, fileds,"fied 4 ",

The delimters only occur where there is a reserved character in the strong (or another ""), otherwise there are no text delimiters, only field delimiters.

Openoffice, libre office etc provide the option to set a delimiter upon export.

MS does not.

iprice does not provide an option for no delimiter. so would it be possible to provide support for the RFC4180, or the ability to have field and text delimetrs
