Any error appear? Also make sure that you use the lates version of Smartresizer plugin 1.18.

I think that there is some conflict with other image plugin you use.
For example on this page: www.avdweb.nl/solar-bike/electronics/ku63-motor-controller.html
Images without caption below opens well with Smartresizer.

Yes I see, images without caption work fine. With the previous Joomla version however, Smartresizer works with all images, maybe this is a Joomla issue. I have no other image plugins installed, just Phoca Gallery.
Maybe you can test Smartresizer with Joomla 3.2.0.

When I deleted everything in Google Chrome, it worked one time, but later it doesn't work again. Windows Explorer has the same problem too. I tried disabling Phoca Gallery, but this doesn't help eather.
